checkmate gathering 2012

where to have northeast checkmate gathering 2012

  • Total voters
    8
  • Poll closed .
maybe we will get some more votes from other people. just cant believe that there are only 3 people in 6 states that own checkmates that might want to go

My thoughts exactly:confused: Not much in the way of feed back either??

You aren't far from me, maybe we could get in a couple early season runs on the Delaware. I drop in just across the river from you, in Delanco. Maybe we could meet up with Sim, who is up the river in Princeton.

Sim & Demag are you guys in for that? that goes for anyone else in the area as well.

I'm in for the river, just give me a couple of days heads up so that way i dont work.
If were getting this kind of feedback I'm sure the turn out will be the same. 5 boats if were lucky.

There should be more than five boats for the gathering. Three have voted, which doesn't include you and keith didn't vote. That makes five right there, and more likely join in down the road. Either way, we can still have a good time and make the best of it! We can get more to join in for 2013!

I will post something up in the spring for a little river run.

how about lake wallenpaupack in the poconos? sorry about the spelling. it might be a better option? I don't know much about the lake any info would be appreciated. my check don't like that salt water.

im not much of a fan of salt water either, i haven't been there in a long time but i would be game for there also. little longer of a ride for the southern guys but it is a nice lake. just a little on the small side. anybody up for wallenpaupak

does anyone know how to add something into the poll. i was trying to add wallenpaupak but cant figure it out

i was kind of looking to some that the guys that boat in ny, pa, nj, de and md would be able to get to within like 3 hours of travel. raystown is 4 to 5 1/2 hours for me depending on how fast and what part of the lake we go to so it would be alot longer of a drive for a guy in central jersey or north jersey. i am willing to go if thats what everyone wants to do.

I live about half a hour away from Raystown lake. Saw quite a few mates there last summer. Nice change from seein all the bajahahas!!!

the only thing is they have the raystown lake get together around labor day every year. just figured have a get together somewhere where there hasn't been one.

I would say that is a hike for most. Is there a way to set a poll so we could get a good central location? I don't know how to set up poll but if a poll is set up to break each state into 3 regions it would be good. Maybe have a few events to get good groups of boats at each. Have one out in pa maybe one upstate ny and md or de? Any thoughts?

Mike
