core replacement questions

Does anyone have any idea what the core thickness is on an 81 Enticer?
I am looking at what looks to be a roll of it but its 1/4" thick. I am not sure thats thick enough and I don't have my hull cut open yet.
Should I be using end grain balsa? Thanks in advance for input..

Exactly what YellowFiero said, the pad is 3/4" and everything else is 1/2" When I did some replacement on mine it only measured the pad and was suprised when everything else was too thick, I just sanded it down with a belt sander to get it close.
