well i got the vinyl for the back rest today, and i decided to got to the local marine store and get swivels for my seats, and i got a bilge pump, well i knew i had to also get a new fill tube for the gas tank. they didnt have any, so ill have to go to autozone i guess and get some.

so i go home and decide to at least unhook the gas tank and put this bilge pump in, the guy i bought it from said it didnt work, well i found out the bilge pump is under the gas tank, i didnt know, so i took the gas tank out and shit the floor is tore up lmao, i am not doing it this year, nope, im not. well it had rained alot yesterday, and the water was past the NEW BACK SEAT, LOL I PUMPED IT OUT, AND I FIGURED I GOTTA PULL THIS OUTTA THE WATER, so i went and got a 6gallon portable and the new line from wally world, and rigged it all up, and decided ill take it for a test run to test the new tank out, lolololol well i started going and when i would get to about 40 it would just die, finally i noticed the gas tank sucking in and then i remember oh i have to open the vent on the tank , lmao, I'M NEW AT THIS GUYS LOL, AFTER THAT I SEEN 54 MPH ON THE SPEEDO,, THATS A FIRST. so heres my question. should i just run it with 2 portables, easy acces to the bilge pump all summer, and wait to put the original tank back in when i redo the floor. has anyone ran theirs with the 6 gallon portables???? i ran today fine after i opened the vent. or should i just get a new fill tube and put the bilge pump in and put the factory tank back in. i was just thinkin i could unclog the bilge pump eaiser this way for now. i really am tired of working on the boat, i want to enjoy the damn thing. i mean really interior redone, thats alot for a newbie.

and i will try to figure out the trim problem ill try to bleed it again while its outta the water, if not im leaving it down for now with the trim pins in place, it never ends, everyday its something new,
yes i will post interior pics when i do the backrest and put it in the rest is done.

I ran my predictor with the 6gal portables. I was too lazy to change all the plumbing, filter and what not, so I just said screw it... ripped the old tank out and used the good old portables. Worked fine, never had any trouble. I am the same way as you, Ide rather be out there boating than messing with it especially when it was 90 deg everyday. Come to think of it almost all my old boats had portables...not my V8 though, the thing is way too thirsty:sick: :p

thx at least if someone else has done it its ok, lol, ill keep the gas tank i guess, and when i do the floor (WINTER) ill put the tank back in. thx alot
