) </div></BLOCKQUOTE> just returned from looking this boat over, it is not water ready however, with minimal skills and knowledge it coul be.the floor is showing signs off rot! the seat bases need to be redone, all electronics are out of order except the bilge pump, the finish will need to be wetsanded and wheeled, also the prop is not servicable, needs replacing, the motor has been proffesionally tuned having the stator replaced but did not here it run so.......... all in all the boat would make a good "father, son" project, spending spare time and little money it could be brought back to life.Pontoonlady was very nice and asked me to post what i found so this is in no way a "putdown" of this boat!! i have owned several checkmates and am very familiar w/anything having to do w/little known problems the things i found where in no way trying to be hidden by her, almost forgot! there at one time was a snap on cover on the boat and has some of the snaps missing and to make it nice should have the rest removed and the holes filled, and there is what appears to be a pretty severe dock rub on the port stern of the boat, also because of the amount of rot i found the transom is suspect but shows no visable signs of problems she has my e-mail addy if i can answer any q's i'd be happy to. again the price is right if you want a project boat

Thanks Randy. That pretty much sums up what I could see from the pictures I have. Be a perfect boat for Cooperider to pick up and turn into a project!

I love those old Enticers, and I am interested, it is on my list to look at. Heck being an 89 I know I worked on the boat at the factory. There are several others on my list before this one, but within the next month or so I may make an offer if Pontoon lady still has it.

you're welcome guys, and, i have an 87 olds 442 (unmolested) last yr rwd. that is lettered from G.M. as only 1 of 1600 built like this one and would be interested in a trade for a nice checkmate of equal value, any takers?
if so, you know how and where to find me

Thanks for your interest everyone..the boat has been sold to a fellow in Wisconsin..and it will be gone this weekend, and so will I as I'm traveling to the Galapagos Islands!
