Uuggghhhh ... I can't believe I am even posting this thing!!! :yell:

My home lake is closing for 4-5 years while they replace/repair the 4 mile dam, so I am considering selling my brand new (and paid for) 2014 Checkmate 2400 LD, with Mercury Racing 300XS. ONLY 30 HOURS!!! Boat and motor are still under warranty!

This was Checkmates 2014 Miami boat show showcase boat. Absolutely gorgeous and in showroom condition inside and out. This rocketship runs 75mph on GPS, has custom gel coat graphics, Livorsi Gauges, cuddy that sleeps two, twin battery with switch, custom matching Dual axle C-Hawk trailer. Includes Checkmate mooring cover. Did I mention the boat and motor are still under warranty?! :D:thumb: the boat retails for $74k....willing to part for $53k.

Message me or cell @ 614-205-7530.

Are there no other lakes around you ?

Not really...at least not any lakes of any size. My house/property is in southeastern OHIO and pretty rural...and weekend place and slip//lift/boathouse is on the lake that is shutting down. So, the thought of packing up, driving 2 hours, boating all day, and driving 2 hours home is just not terribly interesting. The whole thing has me gutted. But, someone is gonna get a killer boat and a killer deal.

Nice results on the 400r by the way.

Sounds like he boats on Boone Lake located here in Tennessee. Everybody around here is selling their boats because of this. There are boats that are on slips that they can'tget down because there isn't any water and no way of lowering them, that anybody can think of. You can always come to South Holston it Iis only about 30 minutes at most from boone. It actually feeds boone.

good luck with sale.

Since he's in Ohio, I'm guessing its maybe Buckeye Lake.

I hate to see you sell such a nice boat for that reason, but I also get not wanting to have it just set. You should bring it down to Cumberland for the owners rally this July. One of two things could happen, you would decide to keep it and travel every now and then to enjoy it, or you throw a for sale sign on it and somebody sees all the sweet Checkmates cruising into and taking over a marina for lunch, gets a huge woody and writes you a check right there on the spot!!!

You're spot on Corey... Buckeye Lake. However, I like the way you think! :surf:

Dude...! That sounds EXACTLY like what's happening here too. It's a mess.

I am completely familiar with the Buckeye Lake disaster, I live on the Ohio River 10 miles south of Wheeling WVa and boat on the Ohio River, but I have two friends with homes on the lake and my brother-in-law lives in Heath and my daughter in Gahanna, so we have been there many times. Senecaville Lake has become even more over crowded due to the Buckeye situation, but that could be an option with some compromises. Anyway my sympathies with regard to the boat and for also for all of the boat owners and landowners on the lake. I know in our PC correct society, it is not appropriate to have compassion for people that have accomplished enough or sacrificed enough to be able to have a little luxury in their lives, but there are a lot of hard working successful people losing a lot of money over this situation.

Anyway I hope it works out for you.

Thanks Chuck. Although it does suck... I am trying to keep a positive attitude about the whole thing. In the grand scheme of things... I could have worse things to deal with other than having a beautiful, brand new and paid off boat to sell. So, it'll get sorted. 😎

Its a badass ride that someone will gobble up....:thumb:

Really nice looking LD, I like the color scheme. I'm in the same predicament as you are.:brickwall: very close to Buckeye Lake! My new to me Starflite has only been out out once in a sea trial. It's still sitting in storage. While I don't have a have a setup on the lake, it's still only 20 minutes from door to ramp. I like going out during the week for a nice sunset cruise or dinner at one of the bars or the winery.

Good luck with the sale. I'm not buying but would like to see a 2400 in person sometime, very cool boat:drool:

Thanks mate...appreciate it! The winery is great place to hang and relax(sigh).

The 2400 is a great platform... I do love it. Someone on here needs to by this badass ride! :D:thumb:
