Fury Prop

Not on a 24 but I did on my 21' Starliner with a 250 Etec. It was a great prop. Better than Trophy in my case. Super holeshot, fast top end. It was one of only 2 props that did not blow out on my big gearcase Etec. The other was a Rev4. The Fury runs faster if buried a bit more than a Trophy or Tempest or Rev4 for that matter. It has a ton of rake so it lifts well. Not sure what it would do on a 24 as it does not have a large diameter and may not carry the load as well on a heavier hull.

Has anybody run a Fury prop on a 24' Checkmate?

Look at the bravo xs. It has the diameter to run higher and the exaust tube is a bit shorter which limits stern lift. Im running the fs and like the results on my 24 so far.

Dean at Checkmate is trying get a hold of a Bravo XS for me to try. I would also like to try a Fury. Currently running a 25P Tempest Plus or a 25P Trophy Plus. The engine is set back 15" and the prop shaft is 3" below the vee. What set up are you running?

I only have a 6"setback but I did start with a 23 tempest plus, tried a 24 std bravo, 24 rev 4 , 24 tempest plus and a 24 enertia. Out of all the std bravo had the best hole shot and mid range power but I lost about 3 mph top end. Then I tried the bravo fs and gained my top end back with all of the other performance features I mentioned with the std bravo. I even had the std bravo labbed by bblades and didnt perform even close to the fs. They went way to aggressive with the cup height. I need to send it back for them to adjust close to what the fs is performing at. So far with the fs I was able to increase the engine height by 1/2" to 1" below the pad. Do some reading up on the xs so you know what to expect. You may need to increase engine height for best results. I have a hydraulic set back so very easy for me.

I will say from riding in Jeff's boat it is awesome from start to finish. We left the no wake zone and it seemed like 3 seconds later we were already in the 70's. I was more than impressed with the hole shot he has.

What pitch on the Bravo FS did you run?

Merc 225-

I think we have chatted in the past. I also have been working with Dean at Checkmate on prop tuning for my '14 Pulsare 2400. He said he spoke with merc Racing techs who strongly recommended the fury for our boats. This is after I landed on a 27 Tempest and 75 mph on gps. Although pleased, I am absolutely
Still going to order and try a Fury, although probably 1 pitch down at a 26.

Interested in your results for sure... As I just pulled boat out today for the season. Good luck!!!

Latest results are 73 GPS at 5835 RPM's running a 25 Tempest Plus. Still want to get a hold of a Fury and a Bravo XS.

I'm seeing 72.5 gps @ 6450 RPM W/24 Bravo FS all PVS holes plugged. Using only 6" of setback. Holeshot with this prop is awesome !!! Midrange punch sets you in your seat !
This puts me at 11% slip since the Bravo really runs at 23.3 on pitch.

Fury 25 on a starliner

My Starlner has a 250 pro xs, 5 inch set back and a 25 fury, I will let you know how it runs when the weather breaks. Should see mid 70's I hope

The weather broke weeks ago! Throw on a jacket and hit the water!!!
I hit the water with her on last day of March last season. :-)

fury prop.

I had a closed deck 21 pulsare 2011 with a 2010 Merc 250 PROXS. Great motor. Torque master lower. 12 inches of set back plus jackplate and propshaft 1.5 inches below the bottom. I ran a 27 inch Fury on it. I saw 81 82mph all the time and 84 a couple times. Without having a sport master lower and raising the engine higher 84mph is about the best I have seen with any prop on that boat motor combo. Boat jumped on plane fine. I actually didn't have to lower the motor at all and there was very little cavitation while getting on plane. I thought it was an awesome prop.

I put the 250 Pro XS on it, changed the steering, new full custom cover including the motor and a new aluminum trailer😎 And of course a full detail, looks awsome but not done yet, that's the only reason it has not been out yet.
