Gel coat discolored, how to clean?

Whats good way to clean up the gel coat were a transom plate was? It has some sort sealer still present & gel coat is discolored. Thanks

The hull wash that is made with muriatic acid works really well on stains and stuff, but I think your job may be beyond that. Surely someone here has tackled a similar project.

Tilex works well to, same stuff you clean the tub/shower stall with. The sealer on there you might need to use acetone to break it down.

I would use a razor blade and carefully remove the sealant. Once that is off, use some kind of cleaner (spray nine, on & off etc...) and finish it up with the acetone. buff if needed

I use a very strong mix of iron out and water. Works very well. It won't take out all stains but idk what will get it perfect.

I am replacing my checkmate logo on the back sides i cannot get it white enough so get rid of the faint old checkmate discoloration around the old letters. under the letters is perfect white......any ideas for that ??

X2....that is gonna be a tough one.

But first I would cover my bases by using some Acetone, Muriatic Acid, Strong Toilet Bowl Cleaner, Davis Fiberglass Stain Remover. If none of that works, then the only other option is the wet sanding.
