Hello Everyone and Merrry Christmas

I am new to this sight but have been playing with hot rods and boats since I was a child. I just got my first Checkmate. It is a 1979 Enchanter Jet boat with a 455 Olds motor and a Berkely Pump.

I have to re-rebuild the motor. The previous owner had it rebuilt and did a few things wrong. It has a couple of spun rod bearings. I have been building Olds motors (in 442s) for about 20 years.

I have a few(a lot of) things to learn about jets. Here are a couple of pictures of it. I think I am going to be spending lot of time in the tech areas here.

I am going to be looking for some of the missing pieces as well. I want to be ready to go come spring.

Any one have any leads on a windshield? I want to put some original front seats in it as well.

I have yet to update my profile. I live in Louisville Ky.

looks like a great project
you might look for a small black frame windshield or even a reverse windshield

gotta love the bass boat seats lol

call mike at the factory for the seats
