I have no spark at the 3 spark plugs on starboard side of engine.??

Port side i have lots of spark..

Any suggestions please..?

Thank you for your time!

Check stator output for starboard side. You could also swap wiring from switchboxes to see if spark transfers to starboard.(this would tend to confirm a bad switchbox) Also for a quick check, unplug the rectifier/regulater and see if spark returns.

thanks guys it worked,... but...

I replaced the switch box and I've got spark!!

However it won't idle at all.. (a pre-existing problem I think)

It's not fun when i get to the docks and lose power.. cause of the fresh paint job and no rub rail..! yikes!!

I've adjusted idle several times to no avail, redone the carbs and rebuilt fuel pump...

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Determine whether your engine is equipped with an idle stabilizer. If it is, unplug it and see if idle returns. Otherwise inspect synchronization on throttle arm/timing/carburetors. Synchronization must be done in proper order. Read thru the manual a couple of times to familiarize yourself with the procedure. You could also unplug the bias circuit between the switchboxes to check for trouble there.

I replaced all brand new spark plugs and I let her run for a bit.., still running rough...

I pulled all spark plugs and found one looked distinctively different!?

It was black and kinda dry..?

All the others were wet and shiny new looking? Whats that mean??

Thank you for any guidance you could give me it would be greatly appreciated! I'm a dunce at this stuff! :brickwall:

Check compression on each cylinder, write it down and then compare.

yep... compression was 110 all around.....

I can only assume that the one cylinder is not getting fuel.? Cause all the rest are wet.

Looks like I'm gonna have to take carbs apart again..!!??
