Hey HemiBee,
How about that,Your boat is rarer than your Superbee!

Looks great.Certainly worth hanging on to.Has to be a blast to mash those thottles down! :bigthumb:

Yeah...Makes it as rare as a '71 Hemi 'Cuda Convertible....now, if it was only worth as much :bigthumb: ....but the fun factor makes up for it!!!

Great job on the glass work. Boat is nice, very nice. Cool to find out how rare it is. The engine stands are awsome. Did you build them? Where does the engine mount?

Thanks, actually I'm still glassing. This is work in progress. The engine stands are patterned after Mercury Factory stands. A bolt through the stand and into the trim tab hole holds everything in place. I've had 40hp - 200 Mercury's and 225 Johnsons on them. Real versatle. If you're interested I'll work up a price and get it made for you. They are incredibly stable too.

Got with my fabricator. Cost is $125.00 + Shipping
That's the one-up price. If a bunch of you want them we can probably get a price break around Qty 10. For that price they will be powdercoated and have protective material on the cavitation plate support. FYI, this stand is mainly for storage. I have used them while removing powerheads but you would not want to torgue on it too much. May get wobbly

A little more $ than I thought it would be but takes several hours to cut and weld. Any Interest???

Very nice looking boat...scray to find ant rot large or small, but it happens and it's fixable...looks like you guy's are getting it handled fine. It's a shame people don't take the time to seal up holes when they attach hardware (or worse when they don't seal it up when they remove it)...an once of prevention is worth it's weight in gold!!!

P.S. I like your motor stands but be careful!!! I had a buddy using something similar (a modified lower unit work stand). It had two channels that the outer cav plate rested on and also bolted through the tim tab hole to secure the stand. For whatever reason, the cav plate actually broke and sent the whole thing crashing to the ground one night....just a word of caution...

Good luck with that boat...I love outboards!!! Jim. :thumb:

Thanks for the warning. Must have been a cracked or weak lower unit. The legs on these extend the length of the cavitation plate so the load is down ward with minimal moment force on the bolt. Goes to show you anything can happen

Chris, I like your new avitar.

Time to get back to work!! Been layed up for 8-weeks recovering from knee surgery.

Just picked up a pair of 2.5 260 hp EFI offshores. Got a new gas tank made and anxious to see how these motors perform. Shooting for low to mid 80's...
