What would you do, if the dollars were the same?

  • Continue looking for mint 2100BR in my price range, then sell H170 to have one do-all boat

  • Keep H170 and add mint Hydrostream Vegas XT with 200 XRi

Just this week I spoke with an 'SS' expert for a good hour. I have been searching pretty hard for one, but he's kinda talked me out of it. According to him (and a few others that have driven/owned both) the new HStream Venom is the 20' hot hull to buy. It's supposedly MUCH easier to drive fast, and is all composit, and used examples have been selling for thousands less than the SS. I've only found one Venom for sale though, and it's at the very top of the pricing scale.
Theose venoms are nice.. but I prefer the looks of the SS. Somthing about the SS just does it for me. Sounds like its possible that might change if I had the chance to drive em both. There was a really nice SS for sale a 1.5yr ago in southern OH. Its at a dealer and they had it rigged with a honda 4 stroke. At the time they'd sell without power and it was priced right, imo.

Its the one on Allison's website with the honda.

If I remember right, this is the dealer??:
Book Brothers Marine
93 N Ziegler LnStout, OH 45684-9650
(740) 858-4271

They're down by Portsmouth, OH

Don't know if thats of any intrest to ya, but figured I'd share.

Didn't yet, It's all tucked away in storage. I think I'd still prefer one newer 2000 or 2100 BR over a pair of boats. Only problem with that is I'd want a liner 'Mate that wouldn't have wood rot. And those are expensive!

If you decide to pass and he still wants to sell, let me know. If the price is right.....
