Is driving a pontoon boat easy?

I am trying to have an appointment with pontoon boat rentals to have it for long journey. What i need is for the our college vacations we are almost 5 friends and non of us know the driving a pontoon. I know it sounds creepy that why we are selecting pontoon there are more boats to choose for, as we had a ride on pontoon and i found it realiable so i want to drive it by own lol :p

If you already own a boat or have driven many, you will not have any issues driving the pontoon in open water. However, on a day with some wind, (does not take much wind especially with larger pontoons) it will blow the boat around and making docking and putting it on the trailer more difficult than a standard fiberglass boat.
