IT'S BAAAAAACK............

Now isn't that interesting? You're right, the reserve has been removed. I wonder if it's cheaper to use a shill bidder on an ebay ad than a reserve price? This will be interesting to watch now. Suppose it'll sell again for $17,900, but then be relisted once again because of a non-paying winner? :rof:

If that's what you guys think is up, maybe you should report the listing for investigation

Ebay can't prove shill bidding if the seller uses a friend to bid the price up. Happens all the time all over ebay. Ebay is mostly a farce.

I think the key factor is the old expired auction. eBay will be able to see what happened there and the usernames involved etc.

I think it sucks that eBay now hides everyones identities, otherwise we could have checked on the previous winner's identity to see what his/her past purchases were.

Nice boat with a 2nd rate fish mota :o-- I wonder if he will split it up:confused:
How many OMC/BRP motors have you owned? not looking to get this off track, but I'm curious... I really don't see whats so bad about em? And in this hp range I think they are very competitive.

JW- wonder how this auction is going to end up?

The reserve is a flat price. If bidding it up he will have to pay final value fee on the sale price. Fee can be reversed if buyer does not buy it but they will check IP address and also ban the buyer for non payment. If he payed for the reserve and then wanted to bid it up to X amount of money, then why not make the reserve what he wants and use a shill bidder to bid to just under the reserve.

Hey check, you trying to say your next beckmate will have a johnson on it?:poke:

I'm not a huge fan of the 260/280s (too much work) -yeah they run, but they are maintnence intensive race motas... I'm also not debating the fact that merc makes the best 300hp motor- thats a fact at this time.

Its just when it comes to 225-250hp motors, I think that the competetion is much closer than you think... from what I've read a while ago they stack up very well to the mercs in the same class.

Since I've read up on it they have started using a different case. Maybe things are different now, since merc has started using verado cases on the proxs series. The fact that they are using that case and it comes with solid mounts would be enough to probably sway me that way... nevertheless I'm very impressed with my old slOMC motor.

I'd be very happy with this 225 HO ETEC. Supposed to be about 245 hp, about the same as my '95 Promax 225

The teacher needs to compare apples to apples. :poke: Let the etec or yamai do some bolt on stuff and bump the compression to make things the same. Then compare apples to apples

You can say add this --add that -- Why don't they?? Answer - They are a fish mota.
Mercurys 225 and 250 will run circles around the competition --Wait excuse me -(WANNABEES)

As far as the 2.5 needing work -- Taken care of they will run in excess of 300 hours and then some!!! Show me any WAANBEE motor that will turn 8200 and even come close to what this mota gives you. When you buy a 2.5 race mota -- you know what your buyin soooo stop your cryin!!:o Does you so called etec or yammmmi even offer a competitive mota!!! No!!! Nothing -- Nada -- Nyet.:o You embarrASSed yourself.

As far as the 3.2's forget it -- Come back when you are ready to play with the big boys:cheers: I will wait for ya!!:bigthumb:
As far as what Yami and Etec offer you forgot one thing that should come with every mota!!! A fishing pole.
Then again I could be wrong I see hundreds of guys running these wannabees on go fast boats, but I guess they are okay for Bow wow mates or any bow wow rider:banana:

Wanna look the utmost in Kool and run like a SOB -- buy a long deck with black on the back. Along with a rear view mirror to see the waanabees.;)
Preferably the x and not the P/C XS with no sound even though they get better milage!!

Wanna look half Kool from the windshield back buy a bow wow rider with black on the back. :(

Wanna look like a MAJOR DORK buy a bow wow rider with (Mate OR Other) with a second rate fish mota on it. Remember don't forget your Pole!!:yell:

:popcorn::popcorn::rof:

Woulda
Coulda
Shoulda
Well what do they say!!
If the queen had what!!! _ _ _ _ _ She would be King!!!;)

So JW you are comparing your FIFTEEN YEAR OLD MERC to a new etec!!!
I would say thats about right!!;)

Yes, let's compare some more

My 15 year old Promax drank PREMIUM fuel like it owned OPEC.
My 15 year old Promax drank 2-stroke oil like it owned OPEC.
My 15 year old Promax made so much noise out it's light weight cowling it made your ears bleed after 3 hours of pulling tubes/skis.

For the same power but with more torque, much less noise, much less fuel and oil use, this new ETEC is a MUCH better motor than my old Promax to live with on a daily basis............

I would trade my merc for an ETEC any day, I have owned both 200 and 225 OMC's and they were very strong motors, I do have a 90 ETEC on my pontoon boat and I love it, you can't hear it or smell it, I use it every weekend and only have to fill it up 3 times a summer, what's not to like about it? No smoke, no smell, self winterizing and you only have to service it every three years. It will last alot longer than 300 hrs also.
In my opinion the HO ETEC is a comparable motor in performance to the black mota.

You have yet again confirmed my suspicions. You are an idiot. Chris could do us all a favor and ban you from this site too.

FWIW, my 300 Yamadog on a "bowwow rider" was within 3 mph of your super cool rig you can't sell! Maybe it's just because you can't drive it...

Get a clue, ra-tard.
