We'll begin on day 2 as the gang gathers to terrorize Manhattan. Surly, ugly and still hungover from the previous Philly run.........

Stiil sore from yesterdays victory we lope into town loudly gunning our engines. The natives begin to scatter. They've seen today's Daily News.

Lady Liberty seems frozen in fear. She knows what's in store for her. Her expression reads "I wonder if it's too late for me to return safely to France?"

Circle up Mateys! We need a BOTM picture. Hey you, with that sexy red rocket, bring up the rear. Where is your transom plug?

IMG_0373.jpg

AArrrrrr! That's not it.

Better, but not quite...

The gang continues rumbling on their merry way. The seas are choppy but the crew is eager for the spoils.

John turns back. One of his crew has taken sick in the high seas. Damn Scurvy!
Should have brought some limes. And a mouthguard.
No worries. We can can plunder this one ourselves. Aarrrr!

Curses!!! Coast Guard has bow mounted machine guns bigger than ours. Foiled again Mateys!

IMG_0383.jpg

Hide behind the taxi. Aarrrr!

IMG_0382.jpg

Lunch and a quick run home through the East River and a Hellgate that was only
heckgate at this time of tide. No need to get off the boat in Harlem. Aarrrr.

Previous Day In Philadelphia

The gang meets up in Trenton to run downriver and plunder Philly..... Where is Ramifications? Rumor has it that Ram has been captured by the King and his Pirate Ship sunk. Turns out that it is only an engine cooling problem but he will be absent for his share of the spoils and Booty today and tomorrow. Note Captains Kris and Sim wearing his shirt in honor of our missing Comrade. Curses, Aaarrrrr!!!

Evil Captain Knarloid preparing. "Where be my favorite cannon"?

Nice pics thanks for sharing:poke: with the attached story I believe you have been in the mind of Jimway or the Captain.

Love the pics. Rumour surfaced here in the NorthWest concerning a small but elite band infiltrating some of the hotspots in the NorthEast. United States Navy and CoastGaurd, who were on the lookout, but were stymied and so far have been unable to detect the perpetrators because they are real Americans, piloting real American made vessels propelled by American made motas. Lady Liberty has noticed, and in the photos, She is offering up a Salute, Me thinks. Closest the authorities have come to the band of brothers is the trail of smoked Bayliners, Reinels, and some delaminated HydroStreams whose captains are still bewildered by the speed of the Checkmates. One witness reported that there apeared to be a NortWesterner among the band that is obviously expert at fast gorrilla warfare hit and run tactics. The covert group appears to be especially interested in the procurement of food, fuel, two cycle oil, gold and jewelry, and also one member may be collecting bilge plugs from the plundered vessels, possibly as trophys. Indeed, the authorities are trying to follow the trail of broken vessels, smoke, mayhem, beer bottles, and snack wrappers but are hopelessly outclassed at this time. The captain of a HydroStream boat, who was found crying on top of his broken upturned craft, was reported to be saying "Look how thin this s**t is" as he held up a piece of his smoldering vessel after he was fished from the harbor." Broke my boat when I tried to run em down" he said sadly. "They come and gone like the wind" he added. "Big guy in the brown boat, grabbed my cooler and took my bottle of Captain Morgan Rum and my gold chain and watch, and slapped me on the back of the head like one of them Benny Hill Shows." " Shoulda seen the way them vessels accelerated away and the way them hulls handled the chop was downright impressive" stated the upset captain. "Need to get me a vessel like that" he is quoted as saying.....

Lunable to detect the perpetrators because they are real Americans, piloting real American made vessels propelled by American made motas.

Except for an Irishman with a Japanese Motah and my JohnnyRude which is of questionable pedigree since it could be a product of Canadidia. :)

Missed you at the beach today Sim. I know its home for me but its my favorite place to go. Short ride, beach boat, drink beer, good day.

John

Yeah, I saw the picture in the bimini post. That is a great place.

Its only a short ride (under 90 minutes) for all of us so we can go whenever you're ready. Just plan on taking a week off and we'll hit all the good stuff out here. The Delaware from Sim down to Philly, Manhattan cruise, and some breathtaking views on the Hudson only 40 minutes from me. Then to top it off we can sit back and relax in Charlie's Cove right here on the lake where I live.

You got it. I got a deadline now...good thing I ordered all the glass, resin and cabosil last week. Should be here tomorrow or wed.

I got plenty of vacation time. There really is some awesome boating around here. Lake George is only around 3 hours away too but that's a bit much for a day trip. There's so many places under 2 hours away its not even funny.

Glad I could help him. It was so quiet for a holiday weekend, I enjoyed taking a ride without the whole gang aboard.
