Very Nice! That hull had the extra cost gel options, that's for sure. Notice the red in the dash! Nice.

cool boat! i realy like the smaller checkmates they look like alot of fun but the water in the cheasapeak bay is not always small craft friendly sometimes my 253 gets pushed around out there.

Thanks for all the great replys. This is the exact boat that is in the 87 and 88 brochure with the gel options. The guy who I bought it from always kept it garaged and it was never in salt (until now). Going to keep it clean as I wash it every run and cover it up. Thanks again guys!

Love the boat man. I wish i had a starflite, they are the best looking design i think. They look like a predictor on steriods. It also looks like a superboat, but with a lower profile.
Very nice!!! hope to see more starflite pics soon.

Do you still have your checkmate starflite?
If so what do you run for a prop. And what does it give you. What type of motor.
I have a 200 Merc no EFI. Having to get the right prop. My top speed approx 63MPH. Have trouble getting out of the hole with more than 2 people on board.
thanks for all input. Greg (Wilmington VT)

86 Starflite.

I have a '92 starflite with a '92 200 xri. When I got it it had a 24" pitch michigan...pretty bad performance...62 at 5800 rpm (one persome...280 lbs, spedo)...I went with a 23" mercury tempest plus...65 @ 6000 rpm GPS with 2 people , full tank and gear. Better hole shot, better acceleration, better handling...My boat is all stock, no jack plate. hope this helps. Tom

I think tbacha is right. I have the 25p laser 2 and that really takes a long time to come out of the hole but the boat runs good on top end

. The 23 would be the perfect setup.
