MACH SternDriver 24p

MindBLOWER

Well-known member
Anyone ever heard of this prop? From what I've found online, Mach is out of business. I was told these were OE on Checkmates at one time. This is one of my spares and have never used it. It's in great shape w/ no damage, but its not polished to a mirror finish. I polished it by hand as good as I could. Its very smooth, just not a smooth as my brand new Bravo 1. Any idea what its worth?
Mach SternDriver 14 x 24P 4 blade

I have a 24P 4 blade Mach for my boat, I'm gonna assume its the same prop. It gives up maybe 1mph up top to my 24 Raker, planes better, holds a plane slower, and has better corner bite. The only reason I take it off is that the 4 blade is worse on gas and when I do a long ride on the river that little bit adds up.

Early '90's, if you had a Checkmate, you wanted a Mach prop. Too bad they went under. Supposed to have been an excellent all-around prop. I've never had the opportunity to play with a Mach on any of my boats.

I was thinking about selling it. It's probably only good for me if I wanted to do a lot of skiing or tubing. I use a 28p bravo for all around use because of the blower. I would assume the 24p would hit the limiter way to quick.

Just wondering, what kind of numbers do you see w/ your boat. I've never driven my boat w/o the Procharger. Do you have the std. 454 or the Mag?

Running a std carb 454, no upgrades with Bravo 1. Boat runs GPS 69 mph at 4600 rpm with full gas tank, normal gear and 1 passenger. We dont do any tubing or ski so this set up has worked well on my boat. Depending on price I might be interested in buying as a spare prop.
