My present package is a 21 Pulsare(1996) with an 02 300X motor.(hydraulic jack plate, steering etc.) Great performance package, however, the family complains about the noise and the smoke of the motor especially when compared to the latest offerings. Just back from the Miami boat show and was impressed with the Yamaha 300 HPDI and Evinrude 250 HO. Will the boat handle the additional weight of these motors? I do not want to introduce performance problems like porpoising etc.

You may have to move the motor a bit closer to the boat as the c of g will change more so with the Erude and Yammi.

You could also be the first person ever to try a 350 Verado on a 21' Pulsare! I'm not sure how 667 lbs will effect the handling of a Pulsare 2100..but it can't be any worse than having two fat people sitting in the rear seat!:D

YES, that is the best idea I've heard all day. Do it.:bounce:

I think that it could surprise a few people once someone gets over the 4stroke thing and starts trying them. There's acouple of guys pushing tunnel style boats into the mid 80's with 275's, rumor has it that the 350 is closer to 375-380Hp. Plus an extra 800 rpms to boot. Just bolt it straight to the hull or very minimal for a jackplate and let her eat.
