Mounting sub woofer box in the bow?

I'm in the process of upgrading my Checkmate Enticer's stereo (from battery powered boombox!) to an in dash system with two 6.5" speakers and a 10" sub woofer to be mounted under the bow.

What is a good way to secure the speaker box to the hull, in the "point" of the bow? The triangle shaped box I built wedges in there nicely, just not sure where I can drill or if there is a better way to attach it.

Any suggestions, or pics if you have a similar set up, are much appreciated.

Remove speaker, run a screw or two threw bottom of box then replace speaker.

I think he's wonder where he can safely mount the box to the hull without screwing through the hull. Just a guess.

Thanks fellas. If there's a clever way to mount it without drilling through the hull I'm all for it. Otherwise, Keith's solution is too simple to pass on.

I was thinking I saw a pic on here a while back of a bracket someone had made to mount a speaker box in the same place, but can't recall if it involved screwing through the hull.

Can you glue down or fiberglass down a couple of L-brackets?

DropTop, I was thinking of using liquid nails to do just that, if I don't end up just screwing it down.

I'm planning to run the system off a separate battery and just putting a charger on it at night because I don't want to depend on my 30 year old outboard's stater and a jerry rigged switch. Any shortcomings you guys see with that? As long as the battery lasts more than a day before it needs recharging I'll be happy..

make sure you run a deep cycle so it can stand being discharged and recharged and last

If you screw it into the balsa, you will have a rotten mess in no time. Chances are if its up front, there is only balsa to screw into. Glue or fiberglass it into place

My dealer was telling me about a guy that installed a "custom" stereo in his wakeboard boat last summer, then brought it into the dealer because when he went to the lake the boat seemed to be stuck on the trailer and wouldn't come off, once he removed the screws holding the boat to the trailer bunks it came off just fine

I made this for my Enticer. I was going to mount a separate battery on it. I also just picked up a Bazooka tube for my system.

Above I would screw into. I assumed you had a floor other then the hull.
