My 08 - 2100BR Project

Ski Storage Cover

Ya your right John it will be fun when and if summer ever gets here!

I was a little slow at work today so I finished one more project in the boat that was bugging me. I have never liked that white plastic cover so I took a pcs of 1/2'' marine grade plywood, fastened an aluminum angle support across the bottom for add strength, carpeted it and installed a flush mount handle. Helluva lot nicer for walking on that that hard plastic thing.

Your boat is looking great. You have done a lot of work on it in a short time. I like what you did with the ski storage cover. I agree with you the white plastic cover looks terrible. Mine has gotten dirty and the dirt must be ground into the plastic cause I can't scrub it out. I was thinking of building a wooden cover like out of teak or something but the carpet looks good. I like what you did with the gauges, too. Can you tell me some info about it? I have been looking for about a 6" monitor with four sections on the screen. One for speed - GPS, one for depth. RPM and trim in %. I want them all digital readings. Has anyone seen anything like that?

It's good to see/hear you had to put in a little work for that SMOKING deal! :poke:

I'm hoping that 2000BR is still around when I'm trekking north in may and they come to their senses on price...

I agree the carpet looks way better than the white plastic, when I got my boat I was actually thinking of getting one made out of plastic because my teak locker was pretty tired looking, I seen one of my buddys boat with the white locker and it always looked kind of dirty no matter how much he would try and clean it, I ended up refinishing it and I'm glad I did, I just like to have a little bit of the wood look in the boat, I never thought of doing it in carpet.

I have never seen a guage that does all that. I did have a depth finder in my Skeeter that was GPS, shoot thru hull depth, mph, mapping ect.
My boat has Elite Guages in it. The main guage does have a lower digital portion on it which you can select what you want from engine temp, water pressure, fuel, hours, RPM, ect ect. Then whenever you move the power trim it automatically shows you the trim % for a short time then goes back to whichever you have selected to see on it all the time.

Mike, what a job your doing, boat looks great, you gotta be ready to put it in the water - if summer will ever get here, However (down here) we will be boating w/in the month

yea its suppose to DIP down into the LOW 30's this weekend, when i think about it, its only been about 3 months since i last rode in it -

Wow, looks great! Where did you get the cupholder thingy's beside the front seats? Custom? From checkmate? I wanted to put the same thing in mine. One thing the pulsare lacks is a glove compartment to put shrapnel in. Love the black carpet.:thumb:

I bought those from Bass Pro Shops, I think they were called Caddies. I think there was 3 colors to choose from. Beleive they were $10 each. They come with a mounting lip on them for a chair mount or something. I cut the lips off and they wedged right in the side compartments. The one coldie holder is big enough for the foam coozies but the other end is smaller. Does work nice to hold phone, keys - ect. (oh and a BEER!)
The carpet is actually charcoal color, it appears black in the pics but really is a darker gray.
