I don't know what kind of parent this makes me but we took our first ride of the season Saturday evening and my one month old for his first ride ever. It was a perfect night on the lake and he really seemed to like the movement and sound of the motor. Got to start em young. :surf::thumb:

My twin girls would have been out at a month old, but they were born in February, so that didn't pan out. But as soon as it was warm enough, they were on the boat!!!

I found it funny that when my girls were born everybody was like "Looks, like you are gonna be selling that boat now" or "Time to give up on the boat". I just looked at them and said "Hell, this is when it is gonna start to get fun!!!". Only one way to pass boating on to future generations and you are doing it!!! Congrats sir!!!! :thumb:

Great to see you on the lake enjoying a boat ride with the family. Our kids grew up spending summers at the lake and constantly bring up good old times on the water. Way to go dadio and congrats on the new little guy !

Congrats. You can never start them to young
I was only 10 days old when I went for my first boat ride and it was apparently a full day adventure. According to my mom I slept most of the day... and been hooked on boating ever since....

Awesome! Looks like a great day on the water in great conditions! I grew up boating and have had my kids on the boat since they were babies. They both love the boats, water, beach, fishing etc. nothing like the outdoors to bring the family together!

Awesome! My daughter was 7 days old for her first boat ride, can never start them too young, my boy had some bad luck being born in October and had to wait till spring.

That's great!
I was around boats most of my life and was water skiing at 9 years old.
We would bring our girls on the boat in their car seats.
Now that the girls are grown up the first thing they ask when they get here is if they can go on the boat.
It's one of the easiest things they ever ask me to do.:)

Thanks guys, love hearing these stories. I've been around boats all my life as well. My parents have pictures of me standing as a toddler on my dads lap driving the boat. They used to keep it docked in rock island Illinois and on the weekends leave and head to Burlington. The story was I always had to be in the boat. I want the same memories with my family, just the boat of choice will always be a checkmate.

I started my kids out young, but back when I started boats were a little different.. still cool, but a different kind of cool... anyone ever stub a toe on a wooden rib?
