New 2011 21 Checkmate with 300XS

This is a new Checkmate I just finished. I ordered the special gelcoat design for myself, but it got sold before I could rig it. It's going to Puerto Rico where the guy intends to race it. They do alot of SOB style racing down there. I has a Livorsi hand throttle that is connected to an In-Control foot throttle so it can be throttled either way. Notice that it now has a recessed area for a foot throttle. This is also the 1st 21 Checkmate with a gelcoat composite floor tray. It will also have a snap-in carpet. Boat runs right at 90 on GPS. I just ordered another one just like it for myself. (If it doesn't get sold first!) Here's some pics

Beautiful Boat, would have to get used to the floor tray. And being a tall guy I believe I would have to the front of the tray moved to where its behind the pedal all the across the front. :thumb:

Hell yeah, I like it. Hate carpet in a boat, unless it is in a cabin, then I'm not even sure I want it. Liner just makes sense.

Good looking CM.. Hope you sell a truck load of them.

Are they sticking the bow lights in the hull like that now or was that just ordered that way.

All my boats come to me bare. I rig them with the stuff I like. I just like the looks of the teardrop lights, so that's what I put in.

As far as trailers, I can do single or tandem, painted, galvanized, or aluminum, mag wheels, etc.

I've heard that this boat actually rides better on a single axle. Too rough on a double.

Is this true??

I've never had one on a tandem, but it's too light for a tandem. The single axel trailer makes it much easier to move around also.

Great thing about torsion tandem trailers, lower the tongue all the way down and the are easy to move. If no boat on them, the back wheel will be off the ground. With a light boat it will have very little weight on them.

Leaf spring/equalizer tandems are tough to move by hand.

There is no need for double axles on a 21' Checkmate unless you want to look cool.

Nice boat Randy......AS USUAL!

Wow. I am no longer into that style of boat, mostly due to the conditions of the big waterI boat on up here most days. If I was going to go back into an OB in that size range, I believe it would be that boat--it's sweet IMO. Nice work Randy and great design Checkmate :thumb:
