hello from alabama I just bought A 77 trimate with an inboard i'm trying to find the make and size of the motor if anyone has a clue please let me know

WElcome to the board and congrats on the new boat. You could order the boat with a 120 or 140hp inline 4 mercruser. The old iron duke. Great motor and hard to kill. There may be a decal on the motor, maybe on the valve cover that will help.
 
can you post some pics of the motor and the boat also

you can look up the ser# of the motor also
