New Yamaha Four Strokes

Looks like the weight isn't bad at all -505lbs same as the two strokes! Maybe the 4 strokes will finally stand a chance when it comes to performance boating? Looks like yami dropped the big hp 2 stokes now, too?

Oh... my bad... I meant to say its a second rate fishing motor, just like mine:D

Ha Ha!

I was waiting for the fishing motor comment from someone. I like what I'm seeing with this motor. It weighs the same as an XS and if it can perform, Yamaha might have a winner.

I see that they make a 5.3 L V-8 outboard too:devil:.....350hp........but they need to put that thing on Jenny Craig (over 800 lbs!:eyecrazy:) like the new SHO's. Now that would be some serious cubes to throw on the back of a Pulsare.

Yeah, it sounds very interesting. I'm looking foreward to reading the shootout/comparison tests.

A friend of mine works for Yamaha and has tested these motors on identical boats with the 2stroke and 4stroke . He said they are the real deal as far as performance goes. There is no comparing the the to except on top end. The 4stroke has it all over the 2stoke on bottom end and mid range. They plain on releasing the 300 later this year.
