November 2008's Boat of the Nominations

November 2008 BOTM Nominations (Please choose one pic)

1968 V-141 with 1975 85h.p. Evinrude

Thanks for posting my pic Chris!
I also appreciate the compliments.
My brother and I restored this boat, as a side project. Our goal was to have it ready for it's 40th anniversary, which we managed when we
re-launched it in late July. EVERYTHING on this boat, and motor was either restored to new condition, or modified to make it better than new, right down to new bushings inside the control box! The only things not touched were the foam core in the deck, and the fibreglass itself(other than repairing some minor stress cracks, and of course new gelcoat).
Thanks again Chris!

Nice job...is he a member ??
Claupie, I think you just got your answer. ;)

Fellas, if you can get the owner of the flying 2100 with the 250 to agree to his boat being entered, then we can use it. If not then we obviously can't.

I've seen that pic on S&F, but I'm not sure if the owner is a member here.

So if someone wants to ask him if he wants it entered and then get him to let me know that's fine, then we'll use it.

If not, then we can't use it.

I hope I posted this right, its my first time.
Thanks, John

I asked CM 250 on S&F if I could use that pic of his boat. He said yes.

It is a precise example of a 2100 up on the PAD!!!!!!

I liked it so much I thought it was BOTM material.

I guess I should have posted this earlier. I PM'd him about posting that pic and he said yes.

I didn't realize there would be so much drama????

My GOD what is up with this place lately. Is the competition that fierce for BOTM that we have to question where the pics come from. Who they are? If they are a member? What state they are from? What they ate for breakfast? Social Security Number? User I.D.? Wifes maiden name?

It's a Checkmate and a Sweet one at that.....Jeez.

Last time I nominate a boat. I promise.:cheers

hey paul, relax its all good. chris only wanted to make sure the owner of the boat gave his concent to use the photo. I called joe right after to have him post on here.

Umm....it's called copyright law.

You might want to look it up. ;)

Try googleing "copyright law and getty images sues" and then maybe you'll understand why we need the approval of the rightful owners of pictures to use them.

You guys posting stuff is one thing as you're all responsible for your contributions, once I start using things it's different.

The nomination elimination poll is up Gang.

And just a reminder, because of the tie last month, we are only adding one boat this month, so just vote for your favourite single pic please. :)

Good luck everyone. :thumb:
