Why do you even need the numbers anyway![]()
I was told the motor was a 350. I was just wondering what year motor it was for when I go to get parts or whatever. I also noticed the corvette emblem in the valve cover and it really started making me curious. I know someone could have just thrown those covers and or heads on it but still just wondering what I have. And when fbpd227 said its possible for it to be a rare chevy 302 thats when the search for the #'s really started!
Im going out on a limb here, But I really dout thats a rare 302 block, the guy probally had a nice BB in their and wanted to keep it, so he threw that small block in their. Vette valve covers are everywhere and thats probally the nicest thing the guy had laying around so he threw them on their. The chances of you having a 302 is slim to none. Put it this way if you do have a 302 block I will pay you 100 bucks just by proving it to me buy pics.
Every single part on the outside of that engine will swap out with any basic small block 302,305,327,350, etc. etc. If you need something just buy it for a 350. Just buy the parts for a 350 the year the boat is, if you have a problem with a part just post a pic and we will direct you to what year part you need to buy. 85 percent of V8 boats that are atleast 10 years old do not have the same engine in them, they came with.
