Pulled the trigger!

No deal. 18+ hrs of driving, 2.5 hrs of waiting, then 2 hrs of the worst inspection I have ever done. :brickwall: now a motel with another 18+ hrs back home ......

Sorry to here that, hopefully the next one will be better.

I'm a little interested to know what was wrong with the boat, was there a big deal breaker or a lot of little things and a overall lack of care on the unit?

Good luck with your continued search.
Rob

It wasn't the busted gimbles, the major stress cracks in the dash, the cracked transom or the fact it was wet, the swim platform that squirted water out of it when I stepped on it, nor was it the 6" of water in the cabin floor.......... It was the chipped powder coat on the one gauge bezel:pissed:

The trailer was very nice and the boat showed no signs of salt water useage. It was flushed everytime it was ran in brackish. The gel would be easy to buff out but with the major structural cracks, it would need glass and paint work, not buffing:irked:

well that sucks big time nothing worse than taking a road trip to be shown a piece of crap

Hey YF, sorry to hear this news. I'm saddened to know that this guy was not up front with you and has caused you to make a trip for nothing. Some people. Would have liked to have been a fly on the wall when you pointed out the problems with the boat, especially the chipped powdercoat deal breaker.

EFFIN A man thats not good news! and people wonder why i ask for numerous pics from every angle and ask tons of questions on long distance purchases. pics can be very deceiving. good luck

wait a minute dude! are you pullin our legs? i see you changed your model owned to 1997 303 convincor:bigthumb:

I can sympathize albeit on a much smaller scale. I drove about 5 hours to look at a boat up past Boston that was no where near what it was described as and neither was the trailer. I know I have a pretty high standard of what constitutes excellent condition (as I'm sure you do) but that is ridiculous. I wonder if people like that think that we'll just break down and buy the item anyway since we went so far to see it. Good luck in your search, you'll find the right one.

What burns my azz, besides a 3' tall candle???? I asked and he sent a ton of "worst parts" pics. Those wefre typical for age and hours. He left out the bad ones. It wasn't till I took video and documented the bad that he agreed to send back the deposit.

:(Sucks to hear Brian. Seeing as I am so busy at work I will search around for the next poss. unit.

YF,

I believe the saying, "What can go wrong will go wrong", because the craziest stuff happens to me. I can't even come up with a saying for you to subscribe to this year. Jeez.

So sorry to hear about this. It just wasn't meant to be.

Wow.....that dude should loose his man card for dishonesty.......That is why I am always weary about long distance deals......too many arse wipes out there. Sorry you had to go through with all of that Brian. That puts a huge monkey wrench in the gears of what should have been a really fun road trip.

Let me know when you are headed to Michigan's west coast for the other one......

Going to skip on a boat for a minute or two. Tired of the junk and BS that we have gone through. I am going to do another investment for now I think. Plus storing a boat 6 months before I can even use it sucks even more.

That sure sux!

I think you should reconsider, hit craigslist, pblistings, shop your way back.....

Why not.........you have the hitch with you!

Sorry to here this Brian. I know what your going through, before i bought my boat i looked at so many i was tired of looking. It is amazing what some people consider great shape. Good luck in your hunt.
