"Wanted" Pulsare 2100 BR or 2000 BR

Looking for a 2100 BR or 2000 BR with at least a 200 Optimax. The ideal boat will be a mid 2000 model year. Not looking to buy 2009 and up unless the price is right (not a big fan of the higher windshield either!) My ideal motor is a 225 to 250 but I'm not going to shy away from a 200 or even a 300XS. I just want a boat at this point No salt water boats either.

I've been looking since I sold my 1995 Pulsare 2100 last summer. All I can ever find is new, new, new...

If anyone finds anything online please PM me. I am ready to buy! I am looking almost every other day but I havn't found the end of the internet yet.

Last week this deal fell through...seller decided not to sell...oh well.

I was going to flip the 150 optimax and drop one of Widmans 250xs's on it. I was pretty excited about it last week. Wasn't meant to be I guess.

Isnt the 2000BR the one that looks like a bayliner, if so I would go with the 2100. Footage is always the best buy, and for resale.

Talked to him last year when he was asking around 36K... I still think he's over by about 6K even at the new asking price of 31K. I've boated past that guy many times on the Bid Rideau...great looking boat. If he was asking 25K he might get a bite from me!

I think this boat belongs to a dealership,therefore + hst (15%)..By used private sale = no taxes.
Check w/Poirier in buckingham,they have a brokerage 2000 w/225 opti.Red w/black and white stripe.Last year they were asking 27000.$ (2008).

My thoughts exactly, regarding the 6k over. Either way he slices it the boat is still 4 years old with only one summer left on the warranty.
he must not want to part with it that badly.

I think the 20 BRX sort of looks like a Bayliner...at least from the outside anyway. I also agree about the 2100BR. I would prefer the 2100BR over the 2000BR. Just my personal preference.

I can't go smaller than 20 feet though. Lake Ontario can get REAL rough...memories of chipped teeth riding out the waves in my Sportfire...that's why I bought my 1995 2100LD.

Sobering thought. I agree. Had to look up the word though. I have been victim of a "shill" at least twice on ebay. They tightened up their privacy a couple of years ago and made it impossible for their customers to sleuth for them selves. Their help channels are nonsense. Open season.

That red and black 2000br in Canada is my old boat. If you look close, it still has WV license on it. No way would I want that boat for great lakes. I tried Lake Erie with a 2000br and I got beat half to death. But I have alot beaten and battered bones and joints. So maybe I'm a little tender!

I knew there was a something familiar with that boat! I bet he didn't pay as much as he is asking for it....

I only have one rule when boating on lake Ontario. NEVER go way out into the open water too far from land until after mid afternoon. At our cottage in Picton our bay is protected by a very large island so the waves don't usually get much bigger than two feet. Plus the winds are usually strongest between 3 an 5 pm. Mornings and evenings the bay is mostly flat (my avatar is the bay).

The 17' Sportfire was awfull at the cottage. The 2100 Pulsare was good if not better than my brothers 21' I/O! The Pulsare just skips across the chop once you pass 45mph...

My cousin gets A LOT of canadians that come down an buy boats...Also, ask John Lamon, he'll tell you boats go for a high price north of the border. I'm not sure why that is.

Not sure why myself? I got 14K CDN for my 1995 Pulsare last spring...go figure. I was not in a hurry to sell though.

I'm not buying a boat in Canada for sure! Especially now with the strong dollar.

Let me know if you're selling yours...you have my attention.

the reason boats go for a premium here is two fold. first, there were a lot of years of 60,70, 80 cent dollars which added a premium of up to 40% on the price of a boat. in the mid 90's a swilly old 20ft bowrider was selling for 42-45k, now that boat could be had for 31-32 - huge differance, however, people who have these older boats still expect top dollar for them, and they buying public is unaware of how easy it is to pick up a unit from the states.

secondly, in Canada it is not uncommon to have only one dealer in a province for a line of boats - checkemate had prides, cobalt had walkers point, bayliner had sherway, etc, etc. when you are the only game in town, you have the ability to monopolize and dealers did. with the coming of age of the internet, we as consumers are far more aware of the price of boats stateside, and they are starting to flow north and at 1.03 exchange, it keeps getting cheaper to buy a boat stateside.

if i was in a position to do so, i'd be stateside in a heartbeat buying boats.

Just the extra space was needed. I was very happy with the old 1995 2100 (despite the lazy holeshot from the 2.5L 200 XRi). I would have kept it otherwise. Garage kept, no floor rot...it was a solid boat. The guy who bought it put a 300XS on it!
