Rigging twin 2.5 EFI on a V hull

Hi!

I have just bought two Merc 2.5 EFI (280 hp +). A long long journey. Rpms will be 7250 - 7500. They will be mounted on my Phantom 25. I will use old square like cowlings, and centerline to centerline will be 19-20 inches. Propshaft height will be 1 inch below - even with the bottom. Weight will be approx. 2.900 pounds / 1.300 kilos. Estimated speed will be 90 - 95 mph.

The boat is currently rigged with a Promax 300 SVS spinning at stock A45 Tempest 25 to 76-77 mph at 6.300 rpms. Torquemaster lower unit and 1:1.75 gear. CMC powerlift and 7,5 inch setback. Propshaft 2 inches below the bottom.

The Phantom 25 was initially made for 2 x XR2 and offshore racing.

What kind of props should I start to test with?

Do you think the propheight sounds ok?

Turning in or out?

Cheeeers!

Isn't the Phantom a step bottom hull??? If it is, X-dimension will be a key factor in your overall top end numbers and handling. I know the 30' Phantoms are well aerated step bottoms and ran like raped apes with HP 500's.
