Yep! And what I do when I find the sweet spot is put the boat on the trailer with out moving the jackplate. Then I take a measurement from the ground up to the cav plate, then run the hyd plate all the way up. Then you can adjust the manual plate back down to the measurement you took. Now any time you run it, the sweet spot is there. Just "jack it" till it stops.
