Just got done building a new rear bench for my Spectra. Built from treated lumber from Lowes. I know common practice is to coat it with resin to seal it. Question is since I am not going to be the one doing the installation of the vinyl, will the resin be too hard to staple through? I hadn't planned on actually glassing it, just epoxy resin coating. Also, being treated lumber, it has a dampness to it. Will this matter or can you just resin right over it? I don't want to do the whole thing just to be told that he can't staple it anymore and it will cost me to modify it. Anyone with experience or suggestion feel free to comment on this matter.
