Sunday on the River

Ramifications

Well-known member
Got out this past Sunday and met up with Demag and Sim to do some running:surf: We ran from Burlington down to Philadelphia. My boat ran perfect, Demag's Dad's boat ran perfect and Sim's new pink panther ran perfectly! It was a nice day on the water and it was great to catch up, although brief. Sorry guys, had to cut it short since I told the pregnant (moody) wife I would only be a couple hrs. thought stretching it to over 3 was pushing it enough:o Here are a fews pics of Sim's new ride:cheers: I will post up a video shortly.

Nice Pics, I must be getting old, I don't even thing about getting the boat wet till after mid May. Use to ski the river in the 2nd week of May in just my trunks!!
Its been a cold wet spring in the Detroit area this year. The river was/is running as brown as I ever seen it. Our world class Walleye hatchery has been non-extant. Had a small walleye tournany last weekend 1 fish caught between 35 boats over 2 days.

When I did pull my boat out of storage and unshrink wrapped it, I had 13 of 14 days off. I sat in the house 10 of those days watching it rain! :pissed:. But the last few days, I've shot another coat of clear on the foredeck, used 4 cans of yellow vinyl dye to bring the interior back to life! And I installed my batt's, 1 new one and a 1 yr old one. (should be rock'n all nite long). I finally broke down and replace the old 3-time rebuilt speaker box for under the bow. Replaced it with another "full range box" (just learned the right name). That happens to have neon lighting around the twin 10" woffers that beat to the music.! But the best is I installed my $170 Attwood underwater light and its going to be t!ts. Put my fresh reworked prop on (after 18 yrs of dragging it across the bottom of just about every lake in S.E. MI.) I'm hoping it will allow me, back near the mid 70's again. Now all I have left is to clean and respray the transom with black and retape the yellow and red strips shoot a little clear and call it good enough.

Looking forward to June! Take Care. Jeff (time for a trip to the fridge for another cold one)

Great pics, that raspberry looks good on the Deleware. I'm gonna have to make the trip up a few times I can't tell. Thanks for sharing.

No worries- anytime:cheers: Debris was plentiful on Sunday:brickwall: Had a couple close calls and caught you on video with one close call. A few of them where of the "season ender" variety:irked:

Same here-I lost more shots than I got. Not great photo conditions.

Yeah, lots of real big stuff in the water. Some of it just wanted your lower unit. Some of it was big and solid enough
to sink you if you got it fast and had shed a few pounds of foam in the resto.
