Looked like some great times in Detroit with Sammies gang ripping all the water to shreds . Crazy speeds they were turning with Sammie making it happen. I read the stories often in between all the nice pics !! :eyecrazy::thumb::thumb:

We all hope the same for you also my friend.......

Just remember, when your ready to share another great story from the diaries of Action Marine, there are a whole lot of us ready to read and enjoy.......

I was talking with a good friend of mine today and he was telling me about a Checkmate he used to own.
I said "Kurt thats cool I never knew you used to be a Checkmate guy"

Kurt says " Yes I used to own an Enchanter XS, you probably never heard of them as they only made about 25 of them and they had a limited build Mercury 300 outboard on it."

Well I had to show him this thread he got a real kick out of the story. Kurt told me he had his Enchanter XS up to 105 mph and used to run it on Lake St Clair. Had to be real careful coming off plane out there so you didnt swamp the transom. Also said the transom was about 4" thick on the boat and the motor actually weighed 25 lbs. more than the boat. He sold it to a young kid that broke the stringers jumping freighter wakes with it. Kurts boat was blue and black.
