Transom problems

I THINK YOUR MONEY WOULD BE BETTER SPENT ELSE WHERE. HOW MUCH DO YOU WANT TO COMMIT. I BELEIVE THIS ONE HAS NO END TO THE COMMIT IF YOU MAKE IT. I THINK YOU WOULD BE BETTER SERVED IF YOU MAKE A LARGER INVESTMENT TO START.

85 Predictor120 My 84' enchanter is rated for 235 hp. With a good transom she'll handle all of that. There should be some flex but very little. You might think of doing something like F150gt did to his.Good luck.

Brian, my 82' Enchanter is rated for 215hp, its funny how it changes over only a couple of years. Predictor, it you are handy and enjoy doing work on boats, I would say to spend the $800-$1000 and buy it. There are alot of great people on this web-site that can guide you through the restoration process. It is VERY time consuming though. I started my resto in December, and am just finishing up now. I have registered.....wait let me check my dorky Checkmate log.... 472 hours so far for this complete rebuild. Usually, there are really never any easy transom fixes. Once that is shot, now you are most likely looking at a new floor, foam, and stringers as well. just my two cents. good luck
