august 24,25,26 there are a few members from here that are coming to boat on lake michigan for the weekend. most likely we will head out into the big water and run to lake charlevoix or maybe beaver island. just thought i would send out an invite to you guys and see if you might want to join in! i know its short notice, sorry for that. there might be some big boys that join in on the fun(over 40ft) but have not confirmed that yet. if you have any questions as to where to stay, launch, or anything else feel free to pm me! looking forward to some good friends and some good boating:cheers:

Sounds like a great time and wish my Persuader was better in the big water. I am working on a deal for a 32' Dominator but not expecting to wrap it up by then. I still want to come up this summer before its gone. I have a Wedding the 25th.:brickwall:

We are looking forward to it Ross. J and I could use a break from work! This will be our big trip for the year.. 2010 LOTO Shootout...2011 Lake Norman...2012 Lake Michigan along with all 3 years of the owners rally @ LC! All to hang out with great Checkmate friends! This is our 3rd summer with the 280 and love all the friends we've made along the way. We are going to try and incorporate stopping by and seeing (hopefully) Bill and Monica since we missed them at the rally this year.

We may to try and leave Thusday after work and make it up to Michigan City (wish I were up there right now for the grand prix, there were some BIG boats when I was there on Thurs.) that night. That would get us up there Friday mid-day.

Looks very nice up there. The water looked smooth and very nice boats too. I really like the twin Viper concept. Looks very nice up there Ross.

Ross looks like you're keeping good company up there. One of these days I'll make it up there. I have a feeling I'm gonna have to make regular visits to Michigan anyways now that my little bro is a full time resident and marrying a flint girl. We come through port Huron on our way in and that water looks really tempting

plans so far.....sounds like a handful of us will be in the water friday sometime(mid-day) and get slips at clinch park marina for the night. whoever will be coming in friday night/sat morning can launch at elmwood launch/marina and i will meet you there by boat! after that no real plans just hang out and go with the flow....we might run out a little ways and anchor and enjoy some running, maybe grab lunch somewhere along the way.

I'm taking the week between the 18th and 25th off so we'll be up all week.

If it's calm on Sat we'll be on the bay - would be nice to see that crew at least... don't worry no one will know you talked to a guy in a stingray out there! We usually do ER to Mission point bay on the east side of MP and then head over to Omena for lunch and back. We won't run real far out with the kids and the little open bow.

If you go to Charlevoix, take them another 10 miles to Bay Harbor and a drink at the Knot - I was blown away by Bay Harbor and the house with the tunnel in it. Crazy.

Let me know if you're out during the week.

And yes... the water and everything else up there is amazing. Can't believe some people get to live up there.
