Usually Winter Doesn't Bother Me...

hotdaddy27

Well-known member
but this year I have had enough. A few reasons why:

  1. I can't go snow skiing because I have to much work to do on my house that will never get done during boating season (some of which should have been done last boating season!:o).
  2. My driveway has been a sheet of ice for nearly a month.
  3. I am running out of room to pile the snow!
  4. We have only hit 40*F one time in the last 4 weeks.
  5. It has been so cold and the layer of ice on top of the snow is so slippery that my dogs often refuse to go out and piss. I think they are turning into camels (they won't go inside, so that is a good thing). LOL I hate walking on it as well.
  6. Constant below 0* temperatures are starting to add up on the oil bill. Last year home heating oil was almost twice the cost, but I used less due to the mild weather. This year we are setting record low temps. and burning it up!
  7. Speaking of records, if we break one more damn cold weather record I am going to scream.:pissed:
  8. I recently took a tropical vacation and I kind of got used to the warm weather AND SWIMMING.
  9. I have to log on to the computer and read about how all the "Southern Folk" went boating in 80* weather today! (Mostly those damn Floridians LOL;))
  10. Everytime I walk in my garage I have to look at my boat just sitting there begging to go fast.
  11. I hate paying an insurance payment on a toy that I can't use.
  12. I was just getting good at wake-boarding when it got cold and I am dieing to go.
  13. I am tired of feeling trapped (who wants to go out in 5* temps.)
I think I covered most of my issues this winter (weather related, you don't want to hear the rest of my issues) lol.

Chime in, my cold weather friends, if I missed anything. :poke:

let it out buddy...... you"ll feel better.:poke:

the winter hasn't bothered me that bad this year, until i took a vacation a few weeks back, the morning i left i was drivin in the dessert with the windows down @ about 75 degrees-- 5 hours later got of the plane in detroit in a snow strom at about 10 degrees...:brickwall:

since i got back ive hated the winter more than ever!!!!:pissed:

:bigthumb: AMEN TO THAT BROTHER!!!!:cheers::cheers:

I used to like snowmobiling and winter until I bought my checkmate. Every time I open my barn right now I see that prety white hull staring back at me and saying, "Hook on to me....Put me in the river and run me wide open!" I want to cry.

I too feel your pain Hotdaddy27.......It has been nothing but the same BS here in Michigan.

At night I sit in my chair, hugging my knees, rocking back and forth like a psych patient telling myself...."SUMMER IS COMING.......SUMMER IS COMING":surf:

I was actually thinking of you when I wrote No. 9 above.

Thanks for your contribution JP. LOL:)

The old "fat chick in snow pants" trick get ya 81Enchanter....

Been there!!! LOL

Let it out BOYS, I am here for ya! :rof:

yea it was one of those holy crap those snow pants were full....lol

Well there are so many reasons I cant begin to list them, but my $340.00 bill from Consumers Energy for gas and electric is topping the list right now. That is one month for an 1100 square foot house.

Oh yeah, messy shoes, dirty car, a garage that isnt heated, trapped in the house with the family, I have had enough.

lets look at the one and only good thing about winter and the cold weather......
you have lots of time to chase the ole lady around the house!!!!

try my trick- if you have a wood stove get it crankin' to as hot as you can get it before she comes home----with in an hour she will be naked:thumb:

or if you can afford it just turn the heat up and tell her the furnace is broke:D

works every time!!!!! but other than that i hate winter also- just trying to put a positive spin on something that really sucks:cheers:

winter sucks bad, but im depending on monday for the groundhog to say it will be 80 on tuesday! or am i nuts?

Fingers, Hot Daddy. You forgot all about the fingers. You know, that feeling when they get too cold and they're not quite frostbitten but then they start warming up and thawing out and it feels like they're being banged on by hammers?
And you say "why do I keep going out for firewood (or anything else) and not bother to put gloves on?

I was actually going to put that exact feeling on the list, but thought of something else and forgot about it.

Well done SIM.....You just redeemed yourself after that STUPID dog humping thread!!!! One reputation coming up.
