wanted: gauges

Another place to look is overtons.com
They have teleflex gauges, I put the vector series in the tri-mate. Real happy with then. Well I should say that the only trouble i have is at top speed (69mph) the water tube going to the speedometer leaks a bit of water. Not bad but it just has a bit of trouble at that speed.

Price out some new ones...only three gauges??? It is only going to cost about $150 or so...you won't regret it!!! Jim.

To 175 Check.
On the websites that I mentioned, the price of gauges is quite reasonable for residents of the USA.
Nisongers, has a Gaffrig water pressure gauge for approx. 57.00 US. dollars. That is for their Monster series. This would appear to be a really good deal for what are supposed to be top quality gauges. Is there something wrong with this product that you know of that is not general knowledge?
I have been trying to find a source for them in Can., went to the boat show, check web sites etc. but have had little luck.

Those are the the top of the line gauges. Kind of like autometer is for cars. They are a bit costly but they are great gauges.

o you find that price costly?I would be willing to bet that for me to get those gauges shipped here by the time I paid duty, exchange rate, and shipping,I doubt it would be under 200.00 to 250.00 dollars Canadian.

Sake bought some from nisongermarine and seemed pretty happy.

Here is a link to this thread with some pics of the guages he bought.

Checkm8fan, I feel your pain.
When I looked at buying the gauges for my boat, (water psi, fuel, tach, speedo,) I was looking at a few things, 1 was quality, the 2nd was getting everything to match looks wise.
So I guess that $57 for a water pressure gauge from Gaffrig, or $46 for a teleflex vector may not seem like much of a differance, but when I had to buy the rest of the gauges the price spread was a lot different.

Checkm8fan, my mercury parts and accessories book has gaffrig gauges in it - available in canada in canadian funds. Send me a list of what you want and i'll check price and availability for you - knowing mercury, it's probably cheaper to get them in the states - but you never know. I don't know what series they are but i remember they had white faces. Email me at work cether@muskoka.com. It may take me a day or two to get it togetherehter My marina is only a couple hours north of you in Muskoka (Port Carling).

sorry about the second last sentance, my 3 year old can't leave any buttons alone. Anyway, it will take a day or to to put together the list because we rent sleds and Mondays and Tuesdays are spent assessing the damage caused by the renters.

Just use the edit button Chris.

Chris, you should go over to Scream and Fly and pimp your place. There are some fellas looking for a place to rent some sleds in Muskoka. I'm not too sure if you're a member over there, if you're not, give me your contact info, I'll post if for you.

IllMATTic: I upgraded to Gaffrig on both my Checkmates I have owned and both times I bought from Trenton Marine in New Jersey. Absolutly is the best prices around. Believe me, I shopped around. Trenton beat all the west coast shops by 40%. www.trentonmarine.com
