I know there are other forums with,"where are you from". But, just wanted to ask if there were any fellow LSC checkmate boaters on here.
I know there are a few Checkmates out there.
Let me know your out there. Maybe I have met you before?

Just found this site the other day. Pretty awesome.

Well, I don't actually own a checkmate yet, just joined this site to do some research on a perspective new boat. I do run out on St. Clair though. Out at gull or in muskemoot every weekend. Just look for the 17 whaler with a mahagony councel and seat and a new 125 Merc on the back. Thats me.

I MAKE UP TO ST. CLAIR A FEW TIMES A YEAR. I MOSTLY STAY AROUND DOWNRIVER, MOUTH OF ERIE. I PUT IN AT METRO BEACH SOME TIMES ENJOYING THE DAY THERE OR THE CLINTON RIVER ON FESTIVAL OF LIGHTS NIGHT. EVEN HAD THE BEST SEAT ON THE WATER FOR THE SALFRIGE AIR SHOW.BLUE ANGLES RIGHT OVER HEAD. AND PLENTY OF GOOD ANCHORAGES TOO! ALWAYS A GOOD TIME IN ST.CLAIR. MERC245

Welcome to the board screamin.

I am sure we all have passed each other by one time or another?!
I was at the air show too. What a great time it was. I am out at Harsens island every weekend with the Checkmate. On the Sea-Doo during the week out in the flats. What a great time. Hope to meet you guys soon. Just go to Browns Bar and look for my emerald green (swoosh) Convincor253 docked and say hello.

I run LSC And Down River just about every weekend,it's a blast.Usauly end up at Gull Island when we head over to St.Clair.

It's Always Better In A MATE !

hey can you guys give me some info about LSC ? I have some good friends up in detroit and was thinking about bringing my boat up and going out to the jobbie-nooner or something. I want to know how big of a boat I need to be safe and where is the best place to put in at. My friends live near livonia and I have never been on that lake before.

AGIAN, THERES NO RIGHT ANSEWER TO THAT QUESTION. I'VE RAN A 16 FT. SPORTFIRE ON LSC. 1 DAY YOU CAN RUN HARD ANYWHERE. OTHERS YOU CAN ONLY HUG THE SHORE LINE. ON WEEKENDS A LOT BIG BOATS AND BIGGER EGO'S TO CONTEND WITH. IF YOU FIND IT TO RUFF TO CROSS. THERE'S PLENTY TO DO CRUISE THE CHANNEL AT METRO BEACH, GO UP THE CLINTON RIVER FOR LUNCH. LOTS OF SANDY ANCHORAGES(ANCHOR BAY AREA). METRO BEACH PARK WOULD BE THE EASIEST TO FIND AND PUT-IN AT. AT FOOT OF METRO BEACH PARKWAY (16 MILE). SIZE DOES MATTER, THE SIZE OF YOUR NARDS WHEN IT COMES TO BIG WATER AND SMALLER BOATS.

SG74 ANOTHER IDEAL,YOU FIND LSC TO MUCH'COME DOWNRIVER. PUT IN AT WYANDOTTE MUNICIPAL RAMP. RUN THE RIVER FIRST. ITS SMALL BOAT FRIENDLY-ER. BOAT OVER TO CANADA AND HAVE A QUALTIY BEER. HANG OUT AT CRYSTAL BAY. THE CANADIANS ARE A NICE/FUN PEOPLE.DO YOU KNOW IN CANADA ITS LEGAL FOR WOMEN TO GO TOPLESS AND MANY EXERCISE THAT RIGHT.PLENTY OF ANCHORAGES/RESTRANTS.

Thanks for the tip, my buddy has a 21ft bayliner, not as fun and fast as my mate but much safer for a trip up there, maybe we will bring both and that way we can always take mine back if it's too much. I have survived 4' whitcaps before in mine so I can handle the ruff stuff.
