Buddy of mine got pulled over for something else driving a work truck 3/4 ton hauling a dual axle trailer and the cop asked why he did not have a chauffeur's license for it but let him off on it to be nice.
must have been a commercial trailer, you do not need a chauffeurs licence to haul a recreational vehicle, trust me i got in a arguement with a oakland county sheriff over this and lost. my arguement was why do i need a chauffeurs license to haul my small landscape trailer(business related) when some idiot can pull a 40ft boat and have no clue what they are doing.....long story short i got a ticket and had to get a chauffeurs license
its late and this thread is giving me a good laugh.. well only if you dont live in Illinois that is...because i dont want to be anywhere around you when ur pulling that thing...its not if but when you will have a "problem"....because good luck stopping that thing at 75mph when the traffic suddenly stops in front of you...so hopefully you dont end up killing someone...
