Yamaha 250 SHO

I started this thread a while back and there wasn't a lot of input except for what you read on the Yamaha website and some other basic info.

I did talk to my cousin who actually test drove one and he said it was a great motor. He's a fishing guy...not a speed freak. But, he sells a lot of merc and yamaha and he said the SHO is the real deal. (not 250xs deal but it will probably smoke a Verado) Based on the weights of those two engines....I'm not the least bit surprised.

Yes I saw your thread but wasn't sure if I missed something. I've heard SHO hole shot and mid range punch is a good as it gets, however, maybe top end isn't with XS. I am looking to trade out 300x - too much motor for my needs and would like to get away from smoke and noise.(getting old I guess!)
