Your Dream Checkmate

what about budget here....how about a 07 pulsare 2000 long deck w/200 hp opti. w/boatman new prop and 10 in set back..gps speedo..prbably run 70 or 72 mph...sounds good to me !!

This 20ft I sold ran 74.1 with a 200 Opti. The same motor on this new 21 runs 72.4 on GPS.
These are "DREAM BOATS" screw the budget! Gotta keep dreamin!

Wildman, You're right. Gotta keep dreaming. ;) I've always lived by the old saying, "Where the mind goes, the body will follow." And Ive been doing alright so far...Ive been dreaming of one of your boats for a while, and my dreams usualy come true.

Sometimes the body will follow, but the wallet won't!

Mine would be a new 2100 Pulsare with a 300HO ETEC on the back. I know it doesnt exist but we did say dreamin right? But im very happy with the rig i have right now. 72.3 so far out of the big four stroke, still tryin to find the right prop.

It doesn't get any better than that in my books. :thumb:

And screw the Pulsare bowrider crap.

Truth be told, I'd probably buy a bowrider if I ordered one just because of the resale value factor, but I sure wouldn't do it for the looks.

I don't want people sitting up in front of me anyway.

It ruins the balance of the boat and you can't see.

Bring on the long decks I say!

THE 28 CAT !!!

Really curious how it would run 2 300xs

Since Ive never seen one in person I can only guess but it looks like a large cabin, cockpit and a stable ride .

My dream would be if Checkmate was to celabrate the change of ownership by having a essay contest on "What thier Checkmate means to the owners" that I would win of course. And the prize is having thier boat completely refurbished and made better than new and have it filmed for the speed channel.(look what it did for Chip Foose) I would like it to stay old school. Same Hull & Colors
Yellow Interior with the high back buckets
The best & fastest offset & jack
A 300xs with best all around prop
All the shiney stuff & foot throttle that still
uses the hand throttle too
Huge stereo
And a Yellow powder coated dual axel trailer

I guess I'd be happy another 14 yrs if I mine with a $30,000 make over!!!!

:rof: :bounce: :rof:

Or I'll take the keys from BLOWN MILK CHECK thats out of up state New York, thank u very much!

Merc 245, Thanks for the mention ! I was thinking I've got my dream Checkmate now to complete the dream I need a "sponsor" to pay for maintaining the boat. There are more upgrades planned this winter.
FYI- The boat is in triple digits GPS now. After breaking the drive at Checkmate Poker Run I added a drive spacer and went up to a 34P Bravo 1 and ran 100 on flat water. I'll get it in some cool chop this fall with good air to see what it will really run.

Merc I was wondering what you were talking about...

----> Kelly, I think you might have one of my favorites. Have you started a pic thread in the forums? 100mph? I definitely want to hear the details! I dont remember your boat..:bounce::cheers:devil:I dont know of any triple digit checkmates here, so you might take the crown!
Geoff

That crown goes to a 30 footer in a plain white wrapper over on the west side of Michigan with a twin turbo set up thats anywhere between 1300-1500 hp. and a # 6 outdrive thats capable of over 120 mph.I seen it at the first pokerrun.

My Budget does not allow a dream boat,My dream is to get anything bigger than that 200gt I have strapped to my Starliner..I got Family of 6,4 kids ,wife and me..I found this Starliner by luck..I needed Capacity.I was shopping for a big family pontoon boat,Then I saw the weight limit on the Checkmate Bowrider..I got my dream boat,High Speed Family Cruiser,,Next step is wait for the motor to blow,I see I can get a 225 reman at crowly marine for 2700,,just doing homework, would rather get a 250 that would fit my outdrive..

These are all great looking and VERY fast boats, but doesn't anyone wish for an I/O? I've owned and enjoyed both, but at this point in my life, there is no trading the sound and feel of a big block with through transom exhaust on a 24' Bowrider (Stiletto). I have to entertain the wife and 3 kids so pure speed isn't really an option and I need the bow-rider for space, but if we are dreaming, Mercury Racing's HP600 and a Sport Master Drive would be a nice exchange for The 454 MAG. That's probably not going to happen, but soon I hope to at least get a blower for the engine I do have.

The outboards are great (and fast) but :D

Have you ever heard a worked 300x??? The thing sounds like a medieval beast!
My V8 outboard sounds like a big block too and with the exhaust opend its just as loud!:bounce::banana:
Im all for I/O boats, but ....:D
BTW sounds like you have a sweet boat.:surf: Have you started a thread in the photo forum?
