New 35ZT Checkmate pics

I just got pics of this new 35ZT. I'm posting these because I know Big Red is chompin at the bit to see them! It was ordered as shown and is sold. It has a pair of 496HO's and runs 70 on GPS. Monster stereo system with 3 amps and 20 speakers just in the cockpit. Here's some pics.

I ran against the same boat with different name two weeks ago. Guy had some hot dame in the boat.
He had the (496 - 375) 65 thats it.
Wow to spend that kind of money and get embarrassed. I understand the cabin and all -- its nice but sometimes thngs are better left alone. Once a Baja always a baja!!

Poo-poo it all you want boyz - but the boat is sold, and for 150K. ;)

:sssh: Did it really sell for 150 because the boat here is listed with 6.2 s not 496/425hp engines plus it says the boat arriving will have 496/425hp engines with a lot of options. So the price showing is not actually the cost of this boat.

http://www.boattrader.com/listing/2010-Checkmate-350-ZT-95313151

What is the real price
141,342.00
Plus the 496/425 twin engine upgrade
plus the trailer
plus all the options they talk about

Don't know the final price to be honest, but based on what had been posted before, it seemed like they were selling for around 150K. So the pricing I'll admit was supposition on my part.

But the bottom line is that it's sold and for a lot of money.

So for all the negative comments, in the end, money talks. :)

150k for that size boat is not alot of money. Shop around and do the comparisions. I dont like it but if checkmate is building it she will stand against all. The same donzi fountain or the rest of them will cost you in excess of 200k easily. For me if I was in the market I would save the money.

QUOTE]

well i love this model. less round than the other moulds. this one is more sharp.

not my colors, but that is personal. well ordered in some nice colors, it will be cool!!

the windshield part of the deck would i make black. to look like a different part. not a sort of deck wich is coming up. what i really like is the boat is that its having a coming down bow. not a straight from rear to bow. i don't know what the english word is.

what is the price range of this model?

i'm with you, not really in love with the colour choice, but i think a black windscreen would look good. as far as speed goes, seems pretty reasonable considering the power choice.

Well I havn't made my mind up yet. I too don't like the colors. I'll have to see some other color combos. Can't wait tc see how the hull holds up!!!!!

Can't wait to hear what Red really thinks of the boat. LOL

I agree the boats a bit tacky...my .02....but for 150k and 70 not that bad..as said before takes some serious H/P to run good #'s friend just bought a very nice 35 fountain, w/525sc's 80mph boat, w/ great handling..Rob

Nobody has yet confirmed 150 with trailer and 496/425 engines. I dout very seriouslly it can be bought for 150 with the options shown in the pics with 496/425 HP engines and trailer.

HERESAY MY VOTE

Im definately not a big fan of those colors together, but I didnt write the check so my opinion is worthless!

As far as the Fountain goes, there is no denying that they are fast. They have had their fair share of problems as well as anyone else. The thing I personally dont like is the lack of space in the cockpit and cuddys. The cockpit in the Fountain posted here looks like it could be in a 24' boat.

Hopefully the 4 new models from the old Baja molds will help Checkmate survive the economic crunch until they can start some NEW Checkmates from scratch.

Being you were Baja's test pilot tell us how this hull did in the water.

-I actually DO like the large cockpit area of the 350ZT. They need to work on the cabin design, though. If the customer ordered the colors and scheme, it's hard to blame Checkmate for it being a little boring. But at the end of the day, it's still a 10+ yr old Baja design.

TB, did these 4 old molds help Baja survive........?

-Come on Checkmate Marine lets see some origional designs! Checkmate has always designed interesting, different boats that performed........don't be the Chevy Camero (80s version) of the boating world.

It really does'nt matter who does'nt like it. Evidently the guy with the money did. That's really all that matters if you're in the boat selling business.
