Sink in cabin

Does anyone know if checkmate put a sink in the cabin on a 253 convincer in 95 and if so how hard would it be to do 15 years later!:confused:

I dont know it they did or not, BUT I have the cabinets with sink and goodies I removed from my 260 enforcer if your interested i'll let go cheap.
 
I know the 251's had a galley option bet the 253's did as well...my 251 and 253 neither does thank god...understand 400lbs in a bad place
 
Yes they did have the galley option. Another option is to go to Boaters World or such. They sell the sink, faucet, pump, tubing, fittings and holding tanks of different gallons. You can build a cabinet that is of whatever shape and size that works best for your interior. Then get yourself some marine viynal colored to match your colors, cover it and your good!!

Well the question is how much water do you need and what are you going to do with it after use. Water is around 8 pounds a gallon so the more water means extra wieght,if you use a holding tank you will still be hauling it around.I would dump it into the lake,also if it's not for drinking you could pump from the lake.
 
I know the cabinits & seating was all diff on the galley 251's and also included a refig as well, all the larger cabnets and such added the 400lbs I was told..you sould be able to add just the sink, with a plastic water tank and not add much...ck ebay for the sink and fawcett...
 
thats what I was thinking if I could have about 5 gal fresh water and dump into the lake and mount it on the left side it would offset the weight of the cooler on the right

This is just a quick list I threw together from iboats.com. I was wondering myself what it would cost to do a sink setup. This doesn't include wiring, tubing, fittings or even the cabinet. I'm sure you could shop around a bit and save a little but wow its not gonna be cheap. Makes me think about taking mine out and selling it. You know I've never even used mine cause its easier just to take bottled water for rinsing off or brushing your teeth. I have considered putting in a transom shower since I already have the tank and pump but in my opinion sinks are over rated. I'm thinking if you do this for the other half, your gonna be owed big time!!lol

What will have to move or remove to mount the sink and tank? I have also seen a solar water heater,basicly it's a bag that holds water that you can warm in the sun.
 
I would have to move the glove box about half of the little storage bin that runs behind the seat and half the seat I'M starting to think lc had a better idea about the keg after you brought that up got to thinkin take the porta john out set mini keg in would be real easy to plumb an insulated tap line into cockpit area pack ice around keg let the party start:cheers::banana:
