    Checkmate Factory Restorations

My buddy and I took his 251 Convincor down there last year. They replaced the carpet and upholstry. Looks awesome and it didn't cost an arm and a leg. Besides it is a good reason to go check out the factory.

Wimpy? I can fart louder than my horn! We had the Sherrif do a safety check last summer and he strongly recomended that we purchase an auxillary air horn. So yes it is a bit wimpy. But then again I can't hear to much over the exhaust, including my wife saying slow down It's the sudden hand...

Need boat cover for 87 Senator

Ijust thoght of something else. Our first boat was a 219 Persuader, very similiar to a Senator, I used a full cover that I bought at Meijers. It was a generic cover for a 22 ft. boat. Lasted 2 or 3 years and was less than $100. I just wanted to keep the sun off the bow and it fit the ticket.

Need boat cover for 87 Senator

I bought a full cover for a 283 Convincor in the spring. Got it from Premeire Motor sports when we picked our boat up. They deal with some lady over there who makes covers for them. The thing is sweet. Fits like a glove, covers the whole boat and has straps sewn on it that loop around the...

Eriktheviking, Nothing that $25,000 won't take care of I have given Prochargers a thought but for that much $$$ I would go the single route. These will be left alone or converted to a single. The jury is still out.

The umbrella is made by Anchor Shade. Most boating places (Overtons) have them for $199. I found this one at West Marine on sale for $149. Cannot drive with it up at all. You put the 2 poles together and open it up like a big umbrella. Then I loop the hooks over a cleat on 4 corners. Comes...

Thanks for your response Ji Su Ho, that answers the small block question. Thank you everyone as well for your responses. Yes the exhaust is very close to being under water at rest. Any waves and they are. We do have SS tips with flappers in them and luckily have had no problems. When we...

Thanks Vinny P. I love your action shot Very nice! Now if I had those 2 525's I could live with a little extra poundage in the trunk if you know what I mean.

Thanks for the compliments. Bukkakiblaster, you are correct, that is Premeire Motor Sports. We bought the boat from them last December. Cannot say enough great things about Premeire. They are wonderful people. If you have a chance to deal with them please do! Spend most of our time on Lake...
