1978 Predictor, Merc 150-not started in YEARS

I really appreciate all the advice. Thats what I love about the checkmate forum, compared to the other vehicle specific type forums I'm on, Checkmates is hands down the best. Its about helping and sharing, not one-up'n and attitude. Tho, the Checkmate boat has the best attitude!

New Mantex stringers in Checkmate Pulsare

mantex stringers? I have the patterns cut. I am planning on using birch plywood for the stringers, seat boxes and braces. How would I find the mantex material or any other suggested composite material? Is it that much better than properly done ply?

    floor?

I'm spending the day measuring, cutting, cussing, etc. trying to get the floor stringers and floor templates cut. A question a have is this, it looks like it would be easier and more durable if I have the floor ply cut a little wider than the original floor, so the old floor outline could act as...

Is this thread dead? I was wondering how you ended up on this project. I was curious to see how you were going to finish out the floor. Did you remove the seat boxes?

Comment by 'ontopcop' in media 'Shannon8'

Would it be possible to get build images displayed of the sub floor of a new Pulsare 16'. I'd be curious to see how they lay out the stringers and seat boxes, as compared to my 78 Predictor. I'm in the process of rebuilding the seatboxes, floor, etc in my 16' Predictor.

    Gas tank?

Gas tank question I had the same thought, I am starting again on the 'Lake Trash' project and had the same curiosity. I was thinking about the possiblities of installing the gas tank in the bow as well. I have read where some have moved the batteries up front, but what about the gas tank. I...
