My second Checkmate

Great looking boat. With that set back bracket the motor is in a different area code. LOL. Did the prior owner say what it ran for numbers.

I asked but he wasn't sure. I'll get a GPS number in a couple of weeks. I'm guessing 65-68 mph. I think it's a 2' setback, not sure though.

Nice looking Checkmate looks in very good shape for the year.

The mate was garage kept until last year, but always had a cover on it.The guy that has it is 70 yr old former Marine and a lawyer. I'm getting all the receipts from what was done on the mate over the years. He was anal w/ the mate.

I ended picking up the mate on Tuesday instead of Sunday as orignally planned. I'm in the process of getting the mate cleaned up, took those God awful stripping down the side off. I'm gonna update the checkmate decal on the side, not sure which one I'll use just yet. I post some pictures tomorrow w/ no decals or stripping on the side. I've a couple of pictures w/ the wife's Tahoe and my truck pulling the mate. This mate dwarfs my truck, I may need to step up to something bigger.

I found a pleasant surprise actually two, the mate came w/ sea star hydraulic steering and second one, the stereo system has a sony amp mounted under the dash just behind the radio. I'm gonna upgrade the stereo sometime in the fall. Here's a few pictures of the mate at it's new home.

I kinda like that stripe..........

The yellow/red graphics was peeling off on the drivers side so I decided to replace the graphics. I like the Checkmate decal at the back instead of the middle like my Pulse 170 had.

Ah, if it's peeling off then OFF it goes!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I took some of the stickers off my 171 after I got it, but left the checkered flag looking thing on the sides. I'm still undecided about that sticker..............

Robbie,

thats a sharp enforcer:thumb:

post or send me some pics of the dash; cockpit; rear deck and transom. I'd be interested to see how yours is laid out. thanks

Hick
