Kct, if you remember when I led you out of town with you 2100, these pic's are taken under the bridge we crossed heading south.

Did that around my way, you would probaly solve a bunch of crimes.
Why do they do that? I'd be scared to see whats under my water!

These next ones are from an overlook about 2 to 2 1/2 miles below the bridge.

These are taken from the overlook at the dam. They drop the water in the fall to give the river rafters a good ride and for winter flood control. Every 10 years, they pull it down way low to inspect the intake and valves. In 1 of the previous pic's, you can see the "winter poll" concrete loading dock.

Great minds think alike! Man, that is one sorry looking lake. Thanks for the pics!

What would be cool is to see two pictures of the same view, one before they let the water out and one after. Have anything like that?

I bet the fishing is great if you can get a boat in there!! Maybe a jon boat? Thanks for sharing the pictures. A few years ago we went thru a drought and the local lake was down like that. The water was 100 yds from the boat ramp.

Wow! They drain some of the lakes up here in the Fall, but I haven't seen anything that dramatic!

Thanks.

Kct, if you remember when I led you out of town with you 2100, these pic's are taken under the bridge we crossed heading south.

it was low when i was there in december, it is almost spooky to me how the water level can be controlled that much.

those pics are amazing - but many questions come to mind:

how deep is that lake normally?
how big is it?
don't the tree-huggers heads explode when this happens?
where do the fish go? - i know that ones been asked
where does the water come from to fill it back up?
do they clean up the crap while the water is down?

wild pics - thanks for sharing!
