No not yet. Maybe you could help me with that if its not hard. I'm keeping it in my garage but i'm not sure if it gets too cold in there.

All you have to do with the inline six is put some startron in the fuel tank. Run motor for about 10 mins to make sure it gets to the carbs. Then spray a whole can of storage seal (fogging oil)thru all 3 of the carbs with the engine running about 1500 rpm . I use two cans one on the top carb and spray the middle and bottom up and down with the second . As the cans are almost empty disconnect the fuel line and continue fogging the carb till the motor stalls from no fuel. Remove the plugs and spray whats left of the fogging oil into the cylinders. Replace the plugs and just bump the motor over to move the oil around in the cylinders . Dont start it . Then change the gear lube . And leave the motor in the trimed down postion for storage . Thats all you have to do .

Nothing new really other then doing some small glassing on the pieces that have been already cut. I plan on working on it a lot this weekend.

I've been trailer shopping as of late with no real success unless I buy a Beckmate. I do that and I'll probably be disowned by my real and online families.

Have you tried C-Hawk for the boat trailer? I think dogschool just bought one from them. I've got some little things to finish before the transom installation.

My Trimate was originally on a tiny trailer from what the previous owner told me . The red trailer its on was manufactured by trailers Inc . Says made for champion boats . The previous owner modified the trailer to fit the boat and it fits really well .

I'm after a trailer like what you have i.e. the red one with a step plate. It almost looks like you might even have surge brakes but I can't tell without looking at the tongue.

Now I understand what "little dude" is and that is what I have which is a real PITA trying to get into the boat, especially since there is no boarding ladder on the boat or step plate on the trailer.

LOL . I have a old crosby 1960 . The Trimate . My dad has his 08 four winns there in the back ground . Our pontoon and two polaris msx 140's pwc 's.

Mine doesnt have surge brakes . Dont really need them with my boat . I pull it with my 08 crew cab f-150 and it pulls really nice . Now the old mans boat yeah it has brakes and it still takes alot to slow down that beast lol.

That's a good size boat! I have the V-Mate and a Kawasaki jet ski which I pull with my little RAV4. My parents have a '01 18' Glastron and a '07 25' Nordic Rage open bow.

Here are some pictures to update with. It's been slow going as I've been toying around with some thoughts and ideas.

I've been glassing the underside of the deck for a week now using 6" tape cloth (10oz). Yes, watching paint dry would be more fun but I hava a whole roll to use up and I'm in no big hurry since I still have bad balsa to remove. Hopefully this will reduce the amount of crown of the 1/2" wood after I take the weights off.

I also have the stringer glassed on both sides. I used 6" cloth on this also since the tallest part of the stringer/floor support will be approximately 5.5" so the part not glassed will eventually be cut off and both edges sealed. Depending on how much cloth I have left, I may go ahead and glass the edges also.

Here is my bulkhead or whatever you call it glassed on both sides. It too will require final trimming and edges sealed.

Lastly, I have one side of my rail boards glassed and will probably glass the other side tonight. I did not use my tape on these as they were wider then 6" so I had to cut out of my large roll of cloth.

I finally have completed the glassing on the bottom side of the deck. It doesn't look pretty but I should definitely be better then nothing or just having resin. In addition, I sanded all the excess glass off the pieces so everthing is a go. Now I just need to replace some more core and I should be ready to carpet the bottom of the hull with a layer of 1708 so I can install my stringer and deck. I haven't taken any pictures lately but will try updating when I can.

I bought a Silverline tri hull for the motor that I discussed a while back in a different thread so now I have a back up motor. This motor was rebuilt several years ago but only has 5-10 hrs. on the rebuild. I bought the boat, motor and trailer for $500. Here are some pictures.

Not bad at all . the boat is pretty clean. That motor is new than the boat . They changed the decals in 76 .
