I like the gauges. I'm going to go black as well but I haven't bought them yet. Can't wait to see some progress on the boat when the weather breaks.
I'm looking forward to seeing some progress on this project, I'm thinking of taking on a similar project with a 77 Vmate 1, it also needs a floor, transom and paint, and everything else but I can get the hull and trailer for free if I decide I want it, I'm not really ready for the project yet, I was thinking of doing it as a long term thing for my son, I have quite a few years till he'll be driving so no hurry, I might just take it and store it for a few years, it would be kind of neat to rebuild one from scratch like that, I'm sure I'll find some usefull knowledge from your project.
I had those same black gauges in my Eluder before I put new ones in, I sold most of them but I think I still have a matching trim gauge in the garage, if you want it you can have it, that is if I can find it.
If he can't find it, I know I should have one you can have. That is if I didn't throw them away!
