Right! With all that weight in the back it would look like it is ready for launch sitting still! Who says you need to be able to see over the bow?I think one of those 520/XR Drive packages would be ideal for Dave. With all the money he saved getting this boat for free the $44K should be no problem to swing.![]()
They aren't that bad. But you gotta step out of AutoCad and dig into Inventor or equivalent Solid Modeling software...Shut up Dave....Who asked you anyways? Bwhahahaha!
Those are a beeotch to draw in CAD.....at least in 3D. Ive tried for old class projects.
I thought I did purdy good for drawing it all off of imported and dimensionally scaled GOOGLE images......Yes, I used the dreaded GOOGLE machine....

Bah, those were just 5 min concept drawings on my lunch time. I didn't try to make em pretty yet! Ive been a CAD Draftsman for 11 years now. And I am 80% complete with my ME degree. They aren't that bad. But you gotta step out of AutoCad and dig into Inventor or equivalent Solid Modeling software...

And no, not a bad job for importing. Pretty resourceful if you ask me. You conveyed your message.

Ahh, I remember that chat now! Yea, it takes a lot to get the ME trying to work and pay bills full time. My college has a highly accredited program but has no structure for working professionals to obtain the degree. Most of the upper level ME classes are in the friggin afternoons or late morning and only one section is offered at a time. It is aggrivating. I could have been done a long time ago if my Operations Manager at work was more accomodating. It got to the point now where I had to get more senior management to tell him to be flexible with my schedule seeing as the company is paying for it now provided I get B's or better.Last time we chat you were still finishing your ME degree...
I know your a CAD guy...
Inventor 2014 is what I'm using now along with AutoCad, but I do like Solidworks.
I'd like to take on the ME, but it's just too much with my current life
I have a 2' x 2' (approx) piece of 1/2" balsa core left over from my resto if that is any help. Yours for the asking, just pay the ship charge.
I like this boat Dave. Looks tough. BOTM!
