How is it that a Pulsare 2000 is faster than a Pulsare 1850 w/the same power? Isn't the 2000 bigger and heavier?

these are speeds i got from the factory they gave me a chart months ago and today some one asked me to post it. like i said i have usually found that the boat is faster than what they posted specially with pulsares. the zts that i have were reall close but puslares uasualy ran faster than what was posted.

i have an 1850 and with the 115 me and my girlfreind in it the boat ran a fair 52 on the speedo

these are what i got, maybe there was a better gust of wind during testing but these numbers were what i had to work with

The 2000 is a winner thats for sure.

Did you see that it is also faster than the 2100 with the same power.

coop the 20 does handle and run well but i love the lines the 21 has it is just a different hull what do you think. i mean the it has a bunch of detail that is different from the others. it just catches my eye the way it was molded

Actually, the 2000 and the 2100 have the same bottom! The 2000 is wider, but it is only wider at the rub rail. I have owned both boats and with the same engine, prop, jack plate, the 2000 was 2 mph faster than the 2100. boatman

the 21 hull in the pictures notice the chimes and were they come to the chimes are not in the same place they come up farther on the 21 closer to the roller on the front of the trailer. also look at right under the orange strip on the 21 and how it has a step out and look at the 20 under the strip it is smooth. if they are the same bottom the strikes or chimes are in totally differnt places

my favorit part about the 21 is how it has a shape to it. the only pulsare that has that kinda shape easily seen on the close deck but the sides are really neat. check out the flake and these pics dont do this boat any justice. boat looks even better at night in moonlight on the water leaving the dock, just ask people at the harbor inn in akron ohio.

yes it has a small pad boat 041.jpg

if you want to see pics of any of the boats i have let me know i will post em

I also like the shape of the 2100 better. If you notice, the sides on the 2000 are slanted a good bit because of the extra width at the rub rail. Yes, the strakes are different up front. This part of the boat rarely sees water and has nothing to do with performance. Look at both boats from the back. boatman

I know we are talking hulls, but I kinda like the way the back deck of the 20' is recessed. Good place to dry a little when coming in from skiing, as apposed to soaking the back seat.

The 18'er I'm pretty sure weighs more than the 21' Puslare. -Craig

Excellent Excellent post! You raised a great discussion thread here smallblockford. :thumb: I have a question stemming from Boatman's input. Since the back pictures are kinda far away, can you take a close-up shot of the back bottom of the 2000 and 2100 for comparison? Like from 5' away, slightly under the bottom, from the left or right side so we can see the very back of the transom and the strakes and pad? Might clear up some questions for those that have only had one or the other hull.
